Sandi Brinson has brought a unique perspective given her prior HR Manager and Director roles. She understands the challenges and opportunities HR professionals face with recruitment and retention when it comes to their employee benefits packages.
Sandi joined JA Benefits in January of 2014. She has a strong background and knowledge of Human Resources. In fact, prior to joining JA Benefits, Sandi served in HR management roles since 2005. She has experience in overseeing and managing employee benefit programs and plans, such as insurance, leaves of absence, compensation, performance management, compliance training, worker’s compensation, wellness, and much more.
Sandi graduated from Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky with a BS in Business Management and an emphasis on Human Resources Management. She’s also obtained her MS in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. As for awards and certifications, Sandi holds a PHR (Professional in Human Resources Management) Certification, a SHRM-CP (Society of Human Resources Management – Certified Professional) Certification, and her Life and Health Producer License of the State of Indiana.
In her community, she has served as the Ambassador Family and Chair/Committee Member for the Bloomington March for Babies Walk, Co-Founder of Garrett’s Gift, Inc., a non-profit organization supporting local families who’ve experienced premature and still births, a Member and Board Member of SCIHRA (South Central Indiana Human Resources Association), and a Member of SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management).
Sandi is married to Zack Brinson, a Firefighter for the City of Bloomington, and has three children, Rhett, Wyatt and Scarlett. She currently resides in Springville, Indiana where she enjoys volunteering and fundraising for Garrett’s Gift, as well as going camping, participating in sports, and traveling.
