For this month’s Dish is featuring Douglas Johnson, our Partner, CEO here at JA Benefits.
In 1988, Doug established JA Benefits as a privately held company devoted to quality, expertise, and personal relationships. His clients value his personal attention, timeliness, and depth of knowledge.
Doug enjoys golf, snow skiing, and other outdoor activities with his family. Family Ski trips to Colorado are a real favorite. Doug and his wife, Lindsay, reside in Monroe County. Together, they have three children and nine grandchildren.
Doug’s favorite recipe to enjoy is Whole Beef Tenderloin on his rotisserie grill. Best enjoyed with his favorite hearty red wine and good friends!
How to make it:
- Trim the whole tenderloin to remove any excess fat. Cover the tenderloin with a light coating of Olive oil, then rub with “Black and White” seasoning rub from the Butcher’s Block in Bloomington, Indiana (also a great place to get your tenderloin). It is a combination of salt, pepper, celery salt and some other special seasoning.
- Place on your rotisserie for 45 minutes to an hour depending on size. Remove when the internal temperature reaches approximately 130 degrees. It will continue to finish cooking when allowed to rest prior to carving.
Doug loves going out to Tinker Street in Indianapolis, Indiana. It’s a “Great place for local flavors for every season! Menu is always changing, but always delicious!”
