Yesterday the Department of Labor (DOL) announced that employers would not be held to the March 1, 2013 deadline orginally established as the requirement for which employers had to notify employees and dependents of the health insurance exchanges.
At this point the DOL anticipates guidance to be released in late summer or fall of 2013. This is a sigh of relief for most employers as there are still so many looming questions, as well as significant work to do determining the path to take regarding “pay or play”.
