In 2018, Jaren received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Hanover College where he was a member of the Business Scholars Program. Jaren is also a Licensed Producer of Life, Accident, and Health Coverage and has his Health Plan Navigation Certification and HIPAA Privacy Certification.

Jaren is involved in various fundraisers & charities locally. Most notably, he takes part in the Greenwood High School Winterization Project, an annual event where students and community members visit homes of the elderly and unable, to prepare their homes for winter. They help by raking leaves, cleaning gutters and mowing grass.

While attending Hanover College, Jaren played college basketball and after two years, he decided to volunteer as a coach for the New Washington High School basketball team.

Jaren is the son of Emmy and Antonio Hornbeak and the oldest of three boys.

Outside of the office, his hobbies include reading about current events and hiking with his dog, Baylor. However, Jaren’s biggest hobby is playing basketball, when he has time between training and coaching kids teams (ages ranging from 11 to 18).
